Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
THECB is the state agency that provides leadership and coordination for the Texas post-secondary education system. Since the Texas Legislature created it in 1965, the Board has worked to achieve excellence for the college education of Texas students.
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)
The TWC is Texas' primary source for statistics on higher education. A state agency, TWC provides Texas Unemployment Insurance (UI) data, which is used by seekUT to research post-graduate outcomes for UT students. Data on industry of employment is part of TWC’s employment record data.
The United States Census Bureau
UT System, in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau's Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD), provides valuable information about post-collegiate outcomes for UT graduates across the country — not just in Texas. Data include earnings, region and industry of employment, migration patterns, and career pathways for UT graduates from 2003 to the present.
- Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) – Experimental tabulations developed by researchers at the U.S. Census Bureau. PSEO data provide earnings and employment outcomes for college and university graduates by degree level, degree major, post-secondary institution, and state of institution.
- Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes Explorer – An experimental data product containing earnings outcomes and employment flows for recent graduates of partner colleges and universities.
National Student Clearinghouse®
A nonprofit and nongovernmental organization and provider of national educational reporting, data exchange, verification, and research services in order to benefit students, schools, and administrators. Education leaders use data resources to better understand student pathways and outcomes to help students succeed.
The United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)
The BLS’s Employment Projections (EP) Program develops information about the labor market for the Nation as a whole for 10 years in the future. seekUT bases national and state median earnings by occupation on the BLS Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) program, which produces employment and wage estimates annually for more than 800 occupations.
UT System Student Advisory Council (SAC)
seekUT works with the UT System Student Advisory Council, as well as students across all UT institutions, to get feedback on both the data and the presentation of data. These comments help to drive improvements and determine new content and features in seekUT and on the website.
